Abstract

The XML and PKI worlds are now coming together, resulting in many interesting new initiatives for the securing of XML communications. This talk looks at all the relevant initiatives in securing XML and covers such areas as: · The OASIS Security Services initiative to create a common XML authentication framework for the web. How this relates to other XML security initiatives. · XML Key Management Specification (XKMS) - examination of the architecture and protocols that apply XML to digital certificate integration. · XML-DSIG - the XML Digital Signature specification. What it is, how it works, with practical examples of use.
