Objectives
The main objective of this questionnaire is to learn whether the subjects know much of China.
Explanations
China is the third biggest country in the world. It has many specialties of its own. This questionnaire aims to learn how much the subjects know about the most general and objective things of China. It contains ten items on geography, population, nations, festivals, etc.
As for the calculation of the score, if the suject gets no more than 4 points, that means he or she knows too little of China. If he gets a score between 4 and 6, he knows somthing about China. If he gets 6-8 points, that means he knows quite well about China. If he gets even higher points, then his knowledge of China is excellent.
Difficulties
The difficulties I met during the exercise are, first of all, difficulties in finding the theme and then selecting the items, since the theme here is really too general and too large. Besides I should decide on the suject group, since for the Chinese, this questionnaire is simply a piece of cake. So I decided that it is aimed at people other than Chinese. For them then the questions should not be too specific, or to put it in another way they should not be too detailed. Thus I selected only the more general and more representative ones.
The other difficulties are technical. Since this is the first time that I use JavaScript, there appeared many problems even with the models at hand. For example, JavaScript recognizes capital words. So we should always pay attention to them. There are also the brackets which put forward more often than not the problems. Sometimes I counted the brackets correctly but I was all the same reminded that here or there a bracket is missing. And at last I found there is a semicolon missing. Therefore from time to time some stupid thing may happen during our programming.
Reflections
After PHP, I found JavaScript is more powerful in creating web programmes with man-machine interaction. Although I have not understood the functions and methods in it, I think it is better that I learn the basic things there. It will be much helpful in my future work.
